Michael Jackson (rugby league)
Michael G. Jackson (born 11 October 1969 (1969-10-11) (age 42)) is a former professional rugby league footballer of the 1990s, who at representative level has played for Great Britain, and at club level for Wakefield Trinity, Halifax, and Sheffield Eagles, playing at Loose forward/Lock, i.e. number 13.
International honours
Michael Jackson won caps for Great Britain while at Wakefield Trinity in 1991 against Papua New Guinea, in 1992 against France, Australia (sub), and New Zealand (sub), and while at Halifax in 1993 against New Zealand (2 matches) (sub).[1] He was selected to go on the 1992 Great Britain Lions tour of Australia and New Zealand.
Challenge Cup final appearances
Michael Jackson was as a substitute in Sheffield Eagles’ 17-8 victory over Wigan in the 1998 Challenge Cup final at Wembley Stadium on 2 May 1998.
